SlabReady is built local-first. Your card images, scans and grading results are stored on your device and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in, look up card pricing, or subscribe to SlabReady Pro, a small amount of information leaves your device — sections 2.5 to 2.7 explain exactly what, and nothing else does.
SlabReady ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application designed to help trading card collectors prepare cards for professional grading submission. This Privacy Policy explains how SlabReady handles your information when you use our application.
SlabReady requires access to your device camera to capture images of trading cards for analysis. Card images are:
This remains true whether or not you sign in. Signing in does not upload, back up, or synchronise your images or scans.
When you scan a card, SlabReady generates grading analysis data including centering measurements, corner analysis, edge analysis, and surface review. This data is stored locally on your device only, associated with the card images you capture, and retained until you delete it from within the app.
Submission tracking data, card notes, and submission notes you create are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted anywhere.
Card identification in SlabReady is manual: you select the card's set and type its collector number. To confirm the card, SlabReady looks that set and number up with TCGdex (see section 2.6). No images and no personal information are sent as part of identification.
SlabReady uses Supabase as its authentication provider. There are two cases:
Signing in is entirely optional. SlabReady's scanning, grading, and submission-tracking features work fully without an account. At present an account is used only to identify you to our pricing service — it does not upload, back up, or synchronise any of your data.
When you look up pricing for a scanned card, we send the card's identifying information (such as its set and number) to third-party pricing services. No personal information about you is included in these requests. Specifically, your email address, account identifier, name, card images, scans, grading results, and submission records are not sent to them.
The services we use for this are:
Requests for graded pricing pass through a server we operate (hosted by Supabase) so that we can cache results and limit how often the upstream service is queried. That server records the card identifier requested and the time of the request, associated with your account identifier, for rate-limiting and caching only. It does not receive or store your images, scans, or grades.
If you subscribe to SlabReady Pro, the payment itself is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. To know whether your subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, which receives your account identifier and the purchase information Google Play reports to it. Your email address, name and profile picture are not sent to RevenueCat.
Our server keeps a record of each subscription event — the product purchased, the transaction identifier, whether the subscription is active, and when the event occurred — associated with your account identifier. This is what tells the app whether your Pro features are unlocked, and we keep it as a billing and fraud-prevention record.
SlabReady does not collect:
If you sign in with Google we do receive your email address, name and profile picture, as described in section 2.5. If you do not sign in, we hold no information that identifies you personally.
App data is stored on your device. Saved scans, grading results and subgrades, submission records and notes, app preferences, and onboarding progress are stored in the app's local database, and card images are stored as files in the app's private storage area.
You can delete all locally stored app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data through your device's Settings.
SlabReady requests access to your device camera solely for the purpose of capturing card images for grading analysis. Camera access is used only when you actively initiate a scan within the app. We do not access your camera at any other time.
Google Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign in. Google provides us with your email address, name, profile picture and a unique user identifier. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Supabase — our authentication and server provider. Supabase stores your account record (anonymous identifier, or email address, name, profile picture and user identifier if you sign in) and runs the pricing service described in section 2.6. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
Google Play — processes SlabReady Pro subscription payments. We do not receive or store your payment details. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements. Receives your account identifier and Google Play purchase information only — no email address, name or profile picture. Their privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
TCGdex — used for raw card pricing and for confirming card identity. Receives card set and number only. No images or personal data.
PokemonPriceTracker.com — used for graded card pricing. Receives card set and number only, via our server. No images or personal data.
SlabReady provides AI-assisted grading estimates and submission outlooks intended to help collectors prepare cards for professional grading.
All grades, subgrades, and submission outlooks generated by SlabReady are estimates only and are not official grades issued by PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, or any grading company. Actual grading outcomes may vary.
No grading analysis data is transmitted to SlabReady servers. All analysis is performed locally on your device.
You can delete your SlabReady account at any time, in either of two ways:
Deleting your account removes your email address, name, profile picture, user identifier, subscription entitlement records, and pricing-request history from our systems.
Records of subscription transactions are not deleted, because we are required to keep them for tax, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. What is removed from them is the link to you: your account identifier is cleared, so what remains is a billing record that is no longer connected to your identity.
Your card images, scans, grading results and submission records are stored only on your device and are not affected by account deletion. To remove those, delete them within the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
Deleting your account does not cancel a SlabReady Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play and must be cancelled there. Full instructions are on our account deletion page.
SlabReady is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Card images, scans and grading data are stored locally on your device, so the security of that data depends on your device's security settings. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your device software up to date.
Account information and pricing requests are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored by Supabase.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.
